English Literature...do uni's like it?

Hey guys, just wondering if uni's would like english literature when applying for medicine (my current subjects are bio, chem, maths, english lit and critical thinking)...because my teacher always goes on about how english lit is a "heavyweight" subject, but also gave me a funny look at my subject combinations. Still, I intend to carry on with the a2 course this year (done as this summer)...

The "funny look" would just be because you're doing art and sciences which is quite unuual, especially as it's so weighed more at the sciences. They are all (with the exception of critical thinking) respected subjects. Yes unis do like it.

I know for a fact that UCL likes applicants with a good mix of A levels. eg both arts and sciences.

oh phew...thanks...its kinda reassured me and making me want to get into a uni to do medicine even more now...
