Default sorry..another 'could i be pregnant'

Argh this is stupid but i can't help worrying! sorry for being another one of those 'am i pregnant' threads

basically was around 9 hours late taking one of my combined pills in the 1st week, consulted the booklet which says as long as you are less than 12 hours late it's fine and no other form of contraceptive is needed.

Then had mild diarrhea once a couple of days ago, around 7 hours after taking my pill. I have read that you only need to worry if you have stomach bug like diarrhea for a few days though?

Had sex with my boyfriend last night..was slightly drunk as we had been drinking a bit.. am usually very cautious if ive been late taking pills etc because i can get very paranoid, but this time we did have sex without any other method of contraception, he didn't come inside and pulled out after a couple of minutes as I realised it probably wasnt 100% safe. It is likely he still had some sperm 'on him' though as we had been er, messing around a few hours before...

How at risk am I? I'm off on holiday for 2 weeks tomorrow and I know it's stupid but I can't help being worried

Its probably pretty unlikely that you would have go pregnant. However if you are really worried about it and as you are going on holiday it might be worth going and talking to a pharmacist tomorrow morning. Ask them for their opinion as to whether they think that it would be worth you taking the morning after pill. It may not be how you want to spend your time the morning before you go on holiday however it will hopefully reassure you and allow you to have an enjoyable holiday without getting stressed.

thanks for the advice. I dont think I'll have time to see a pharmacist am leaving pretty early to get to the airport already.. wish I had not been so stupid! I'm also a bit worried that if i do decide/manage to get the morning after pill that it will make me feel ill, having never taken it before... and turkey's probably not the best place to be unwell

will try and tajke your advice if i see a pharmacist in the airport tomorrow though..!

really in need of some reassurance

You are very unlikely to be pregnant.

I used to worry all the time and was *******s at taking the pill. SO I got the implant, and I've had it for nearly three years now and no worries.

Maybe consider your contraception if it's a continual worry?

yeah i may consider the impant, thanks for the reassurance

caaakeeey, poor girl.. i know the pill isnt 100% reliable, but it does have a fairly high success rate... guess she was just very unlucky..

feel slightly better now...found this info
'With Ovranette, if you have missed ONE or TWO pills, you will still be protected against pregnancy and you don't need to use extra contraception. Take the last pill you missed as soon as you remember, then continue taking your pills, one every day, as normal.' not sure how reliable it is?

didnt miss one so hopefully i will be fine...just need to put it in the back of my mind and enjoy my holiday i guess!

if you keep missing the pill..try going on the contraception injection, just an injection every 12 weeks, i found it really useful and took a huge weight off my mind
