No, I got one mark off a Distinction. But I'm going to get my proper results in August, hopefully the mod will remark it and score me higher. I know it sounds bad, but a Merit blows, but I did it all at home without any help so I think I did pretty well regardless. I guess.

I don't do Aida but I do do Dida. Loads of people in my year didn't even get a pass. I did nothing throughout the year and did my project in the 3 days before the deadline, I got somewhere between a pass and a merit, most likely a merit. I don't care about I.C.T so I'm moderately pleased with the grade I got.

I got a C despite being given an A by my teacher...

Was so annoyed because it was only after I got my results back we all discovered how .doc was not allowed. So all my commentary and review and screenshots of database etc. would not of been marked. Hopefully the next time I get my results back I get an A.

I HATE AiDA. it was soooo tedious and boring. a bloody 5 fruit & veg a day thing. SO USEFUL for me in later life making posters for snotty nosed kids that don't want to eat fruit.

*rant over*.... sorry, it was just so annoying spending ages making a poster and a bloody e-portfolio about fruit. how dull!?

Totally, the whole pdf thing was annoying, especially creating the Eportfolio.

Yeah.. Especially how my school likes to restrict everything. So they restricted the printers... Which meant the "Flash Paper" wouldn't print a .doc to pdf file. Which meant I had to go home and spend like 3 hours trying to find a free pdf converter.

And anybody in the class that wanted it done had to go and use the teachers computer.

Damn AiDA was a waste of 2 Years. Yes. What is supposed to take about 8 months for most people took our class 8 years. I was so bored. I did ECDL in like 4 days and had the rest to just do nothing, which was annoying.

    But it's over now.

I think a few at my school failed.

We got given grades rather then distinction etc... What does a B grade translate to?

AiDA was crap! The idea of doing something more vocational that represented what we could be doing in a job appealed to me but I think a normal GCSE in ICT would have been better. It was reeeally boring and time consuming.

    i hated it.
you had to make something, say why you did it, how you did it, who you did it for, what you would do next time you do it, what went well what didn't go well, how you planned your time, was it successfull

i got an A* in the end anyway, and out of 60 people only 2 people got an A and i was the only one to get the A8 and to think we were promised four units lmao...

are we going to get an A8 grade or the equivalent?

Oh yeah - was anyone originally supposed to do the CiDA course but chose not to submit the work and so spent an entire year doing nothing?

I don't think anyone who did CiDA at ours got above a C.
Not sure about AiDA but it's probably about the same.

School didn't really know what they were doing when they were teaching it I don't think.

What a waste of time Dida was.

I did not work, submitted a blank E-portfolio, and I'm going to get a U.

But I don't care, because it's a stupid, nothing subject.

The whole ICT qualification system is a joke.

    They're crap.
But not only are they crap, they realise their mistake and instead of fixing it, decide to down-grade students that have fully achieved the specification.

    It's criminal.

I agree. Also it's not even a GCSE so some colleges do not even see all the efforts you put into it (luckily I do RE, which could act as a substitute ). We do not even learn anything new in the boring subject. It's USELESS. In the second year it becomes so hard. Why? Because it's that boring that it becomes hard to fight against the dull boringness.
The review final part was so DEAD. I think I wrote like somewhere between 5,000-6,000 words. .
I'm glad that soon my DiDA boring subject will be over and the greyness I get from it will go away.
Even when you do the DiDA work at home (which I indeed regret a LOT) you get told that it's wrong cos the dumb website says it in a wrong misleading way. Because of this, I had like sometimes like 2-3 drafts for each product.
