    Who ever has Sky news i advise you turn over there, Croydon is on fire

    When i was going home, looked like police had it under control, obvs not, this has just got out of hand!

    Tandem centre and the very large sainsbury's + M&S in colliers wood is on flames, if anyone knows where i'm talking about :gasp:

    Got called just now by a mate who was working the close. Branch got evacuated just around closing time, pub next door was on fire, no clue what's going on now. Fulham isn't even on the news so I doubt it's even being controlled. Sucky thing is, I'll be one of the first ones in the next morning, wont have a clue whats going on.. Might turn up to a wreckage of a branch.

    But on general fire, apparently there is no insurance because for the cost of insuring all branches is equilvant to building four new stores a year, whereas only two burn per year.
    I don't think they accounted for the chavs of london for this year :P

    Hopefully it shouldn't spread to Wimbledon as its a nice area, but if it does theyre gonna have to get through me, I'll protect my money on all costs:mad2:

    Hopefully. You going down to your store today?

    I'm going out now through Croydon, will be really weird seeing all the destruction in broad daylight, wanna check out Reeves Corner too

    They just called me, and said could i come in, they're closing at 6pm and i start at 6:3opm, so making up the hours on another shift!

    I cant go there i cant believe this actually happened

    I passed your store, its open and looking fine, guess the looters couldnt be bothered going up the hill :teehee:

    Something came through about only 2 stores have been affected, and even then only minimally. I don't think Waitrose is top on the looter's priority, we're too posh for them remember
