Re: The Waitrose Thread
Hey

I have a group interview at my local waitrose tomorrow and i'm beginning to get more and more nervous about it.. if I get asked about what i've been doing the past 12 months would it be okay if I just talked about doing my A Levels? i'm also confused about what i'd say if I was asked where I see myself in 3 years time. I've been looking for a job for months now and really hope I do well tomorrow but i'm worried because i'm usually a shy person and I don't really know how I would make myself stand out in a group interview :/ the selling task also seems pretty scary.. any advice would be appreciated! xx -
Re: The Waitrose ThreadThey do sell these danishes which have peanuts inbedded in them, it looks like a yum yum twisted(Original post by Groat)
I mentioned it on a questionnaire at my group interview, so I haven't refrained from giving them the information, thus I would think they cannot terminate my contract. I'll just speak to the section manager. It's not like they serve peanuts at the counters anyway, so I'm sure i'll be fine. Either way, I wouldn't use my bare hands due to cleanliness regulations.

Re: The Waitrose ThreadAt my grou interview they asked, why do you want to work for JLP + why should we choose you(Original post by 08batee)
Hey, just received an invitation for the group interview for next week!! Just wondered, are you expected to know a lot about Waitrose and John Lewis for an interview for a checkout position, or is this not necessary? Also, in the group interview, do they ask you questions like 'why do you want to work for waitrose?' or does that come in the second 1 to 1 interview if you get one? Thanks.

Re: The Waitrose ThreadYes, but I won't exactly be touching them with my bare hands?(Original post by IvanGray)

I'll see how it goes, and if it's an issue I'll discuss it with my SM.

Re: The Waitrose ThreadYeah speak about your a--levels and any hobbies you've taken up, also the 3 years time question say UNI if you want to go, and link it back to your interest with waitrose say your intrested in the grad scheme(Original post by hellogoodbye24)

Re: The Waitrose ThreadTbh i don't see the problem wither because they do wear gloves, and you did let them know at the first stage(Original post by Groat)
Yes, but I won't exactly be touching them with my bare hands?

How bad does it get, restrictive breathing or not so serious?

Re: The Waitrose ThreadI'm not sure at the level of reaction if I don't eat them.(Original post by IvanGray)

Re: The Waitrose ThreadThanks for you reply! Can I just ask, do they ask you these questions in front of everyone else in the group, or are these the questions asked in the 1 to 1 interview at the end of the group interview? Many thanks.(Original post by IvanGray)

Re: The Waitrose ThreadI've only ever had the initial reaction which prompted all the tests. If I ate a peanut, I know what would happen, but I'm not sure of symptoms when I come in contact with them.(Original post by IvanGray)

Anyone work in the ambients section? What's it like?
I work on fresh...
Ambient is the same thing but dry goods cereals etc.
Its good fun, if you have a laugh whilst working a cage
Other than that i'm sure you'll be pretty bored
