If you leave, are you paid any holiday accrued that hasn't been taken?
No. If you leave mid year then you aren't entitled to a full years holiday. If you take all of your holiday days and then leave, you may have to pay back some of your holiday pay back.

I know that, thus the word accrued. But say I have worked enough to warrant six days, but have only taken two. Will I get paid those days when I leave?

Yeah I left recently and got paid for the holiday I hadn't taken.

Hey, was wondering anyone knew the success rate after a second interview? And also I was how many people I was up against?
    Thanks
Gramatically, the second question makes no sense, but I assume you're asking us if we know how many people you were up against? Sorry, but how would we know? Chances after second interview are generally high, but if the manager doesn't think you're a fit, you're still out.

    Hi Guys,
i got my group interveiw for waitrose on the 9th and been reading this forum to help me along with the interveiw..
its an exsisting store in barnet so i was just wondering how likely it is to get through to a second interveiw. Also, do waitrose fast track some people straight to 1-1 interveiws and skip group interveiws or does everyone have the same chance?
    thanks!

I think under certain curcumstances some people will have one to one interviews. For example I had one when I applied to work at a branch over the summer after my first year at uni, but this may have been because I had worked at another branch before.

I think if you apply for a supermarket assistant job through the website, you will have a group interview. However if you do it another way, perhaps contacting the personnel manager direct, you could have a one to one interview. This may only be the case if you have worked for Waitrose previously though.

Two months until I leave as well for uni! Although I am hopefully gonna ask to stay on the list so that I can go back over Christmas.

I haven't heard any other cases of it happening, but I hadn't worked for Waitrose before and my first interview was the 1-on-1 interview! It was the first job application that I had ever made as well!

I have re-applied to the first branch I used to work at. I *hope* I don't have to go through the group interview again...

    Hey.
I've worked at three Waitrose branches in total and each time, I've had to have the initial interview just for the formality. After my group interview at my second branch, I was offered the job on the spot.

When I went back to my first branch, I just had to go have a chat with the manager so it wasn't exactly a formal interview.

I've also got an interview at Barnet on the 9th!
(..and Canary Wharf on the 5th)

I just had an interview for Westfield this morning and got invited for a 1 to 1 tomorrow (Winning! -Sorry after ~30 JLP applications and 6 interviews, finally made it!)

Edit: Does anyone know what what sort of questions they'll ask?? - Bit hard to word it in the search and I went back some pages and it wasn't answered

    Re: The Waitrose Thread
    hi everyone.

For those that remember me, i've been at waitrose for almost a year now (july 18th 1 year anniversary)

i'm 18 and recently got my driving licence. I applied for a customer delivery driver and have been asked to an interview (different branch)

i've been trying to find out how long you have to have hheld your licence because on the job requirements it did not state. It just said clean licence which i have.
and you will undergo a driving assessment.

does anyone want to shed any light or have any experience? Trying to get as much money before uni.

Which Westfield? I've just left my job there...

For me, the one on one interview was more a informal chat. You just have the chance to ask any questions you may have and they asked me a bit about me - what I'm studying and why I chose Waitrose. I was then asked what section and why, and what makes good customer service.
