I love this! Let's get it on...

    I dont think this exists..

So would people be interested in having a Cycling Soc on TSR.. just a massive thread to exchange info on what bike, cycling fitness, maintenance, accessories, safety, cycle routes, city info.. and good old moans about motorists and bike thieves etc etc?

I have only just started Cycling again after not doing it for ages, and I am loving it!! I commute ~6m a day, to and from Nottingham. My bike is a secondhand Trek 4500 which I picked up for £50 (bargain!!) its a little faulty.. the upgraded shock absorber is coming apart and the back brake is completely broken (its missing a bit that links the lever to the wire on the handlebars) but im really keen to get it sorted out, it'll be awesome

Done quite a bit of cycling in recent days and weeks.

I'm going to have to start investing in some non-Decathlon clothing for once!

I'm going to get another cycling top, either from my local independent cycling shop or elsewhere - the cheaper the better, any recommendations??

Also not had a puncture for ages, long may this continue!!!!

    erm, really?!

I'm just cycling for fun at the moment. I've decided to scrap the speedo on my bike and just focus on cycling for fun and improving my fitness. Well, I haven't scrapped it so much, it just doesn't seem to work and I haven't bothered trying to fix it.

I'm actually probably cycling faster as a result.

May give the bike a health check at my local bike shop next week - just a service, not actually had it serviced since buying it 3 years ago!!

Been a really good bike so far, just need to buy myself a new jersey now. Really have got too much Decathlon gear, I'm a great and free advertisement for them. They should be paying me for modelling so much of their gear!

I don't go with numbers. I just test my tyres by hand, make sure they're full of air. Press down on them and see how it is.

Hopefully I'll be going out on a ride today but the weather isn't so pleasant. Needs to stop raining, ffs.

I don't know but I'd be surprised if there was. This event is awesome though. Going to watch the whole race.

Was cycling in Scotland yesterday. Return trip from Belfast-Cairnryan for £10. Couldn't beat it 78 mile loop and ooo it truly is the most lethal place to cycle, Hills, hills, hillllllllllllllls Also got shocked by an electric fence, it really hurt.

Haha i'm happy to say there was something like 36
Yea, its better to go out on the bike without the speedo just to enjoy it. If you have a speedo and you see an average speed that you aint happy with you will just end up busting yourself to get it higher lol.
Haha, your a bit like myself. Got my bike serviced for the first time on Saturday after 1 years use
I have never been in Decathlon, its always ebay or the lbs for my gear... mostly ebay haha.

In france, electric fences dont hurt much. In scotland, they hurt. They're a tought breed, thoose scots.

    Cadel looking strong@thedauphine
    Schlecks are lazy
    Wiggins in yellow

Little 500 looks so funny. Haha, i watched a minute or so, in which I saw a 'pit stop' where the outgoing rider threw himself off the bike onto the deck.

Supposed to be working and stuff which is why I googled Mark Cavendish and read lots of random stuff about him. (This is like the modern equivalent to stalking, should i admit to this?) Anyway, I read that he had a girlfriend of 15 years whom he was engaged to before breaking it off. Then I googled her - found 1 picture and she's a prettier then his page 3 girl.

I hate stochastic processes, they're pants and uninteresting. mega anti climax of a module.

You can't say that and not give us a name (or a photo)! She'll have to be something special to be more attractive than Peta Todd though.

    Still 1st on Fantsay Whoop!

Anyway - will be at Richmond Park (London) today if anyone else from here is down there. Will be riding with a few others. Hoping the copious amounts of alcohol from the weekend doesn't have an affect.
