Hey, I'm currently writing my first draft of my personal statement and I'm really self-conscious about what I write because I know it's the most importatnt thing of my life so far that I've had to write! I have one line in particular that I'm worried about, is there anywhere specific I need to post it like a special thread or can I just put it in this one? Thanks x

where and what is it?

You could post it here, or get more specialist help from a PS helper

Post it here, and when you're done with the first draft you might one to post it in the appropriate section

Ok I'll post it here for now and then I'll put my draft in the section
I'm writing for Italian and beginners Spanish, and am just talking about how I could never get up to the word limit before A-level and now I have trouble keeping to the word limit, etc. etc.
"I’m fortunate that life has no word limit, as I would’ve passed it long ago according to my friends and family". - I'm thinking I should just cut it out :p: I dunno really!

how on earth is that related to the course you are applying to? - life has no word limit?!

maybe if you are applying for philsophy, it still would be a bad idea - cross it out!

i'm not meaning to sound rude but, if you want to get in to your chosen course, you should obey, my advice.

are you applying for italian becuase if you are, well, if you get a top degree it would look very respectable.

Yes I am applying for Italian. Look it's ok I've crossed it out now. It's so hard not to go off track... hmm.

What, someone who is still years away from university? Who hasn't even started the application process?

But still, don't include it.
I think that sounds a bit silly.
It's a bit of a waste of the word limit to the PS, as it says nothing about you really!

Err... How is this related to Italian and Spanish... Are you a chatterbox... Oh no... not a chatterbox... Am I supposed to keep reading on... so thinks the admissions tutor.

Yeahhh, I knew that! I could easily see why you DID put it in, and it did fit in well with the whole word limit thing for the PS, but really it doesn't sound good for the PS and didn't make complete sense.

Looking forward to seeing the final one. (:
