Hey can anyone tell me when freshers have to be in Oxford in October? I had a look on the website and it said Michaelmas started on the 7th of October but is this the start of term or the start of freshers week? I just need to know cause I've got a job offer but they want to know when I have to leave. I looked through all of the stuff I've been sent and couldn't find any information.

That was last year I think? This year it's all a week later so Freshers' starts on Sunday 5th. But different colleges come up at different times from Sun-Tue so you could be coming up on 5th, 6th or 7th. Hope that helps!

It varies from college to college, but is usually Sunday, Monday or Tuesday before term starts. Term starts ("1st week&quot on 12th October in 2008. There is normally a timetabled induction programme that you have to attend. You will probably get firm information from your college soon after offers are conirmfed in mid August. It would be best to assume you'll need to stop the job on the 3rd October.
