does anyone know of a strength and a weakness of a laboratory experiment, other than high levels of control, and low ecological validity?

    Strengths:
Manipulation of IV indicates cause and effect relationship.
    Increased control and accurate measurement.
Standardised procedures = replication is possible.

    Weakness:
Total control over all variables is not possible.
Artificial conditions may produce unnatural behaivour that lacks ecological validity.
Results likely to be biased by sampling, demand characteristics, experimenter expectancy.
May raise ethical problems of deception.

Are you doing your coursework? lol
