US universities confuse me :P

I'd guess that their "Engineer in Computer Science" graduate course is the closest to an "MSc in CS" that you'd find at any UK uni.
its so you get a professional qualification i think (engineer). in the U.S "professionals" are higher paid by basically everyone.

hurm...so can an undergrad CS major apply for a Masters in EECS?

Don't see any reason why not. As far as I can tell, lots of people switch major for their post-grad studies.
