Hey people!! if u have received a postcard... from ucl what does it say? and when did you send your application? is every1 applying predicted three a's? thanks
AAABB I got. The postcard said that they have received my application, and that I am not to try to contact them about it as it will hinder, not help, my cause.
If i get an interview, I probs won't go to it cos I've got an LSE offer.
I have an LSE offer too, but UCL is above LSE in my list of which-universities-id-like-to-go-to.
Do you think LSE is better? in which ways? I dont know mych about how they are both regarded in firms/chambers, except that they will both be seen as very good!

I chose to apply to UCL over LSE because LSE wasn't really diverse enough for me... I don't want to go to a specialist university.

I prefer LSE, because it has a much better international name - and in order to forfill one of my future ambitions - it's almost imperative that I get an LSE or Oxford education. In terms of whether it's better regarded vizzavi firms/chambers, I honestly don't know...
<To the other poster> Agreed: UCL seems to provide the more 'authentic' student experience, but that's not really an issue for me.

Aww come on Mr. Mobb... you know me... onearmedbandit
Anyway, it makes quite a big difference to me, and I think UCL is definitely on its way up. In a few years it will be held just as highly as LSE internationally.

Hehe, sorry. My name is Rob, btw.
Fair enough - although I would just add the point that the student experience isn't entirely crafted/bounded by the university: if I end up at a London uni, I intend to mix with people from other institutions.
If you look at the list of Presidents/PMs/Governor Generals for many of the world's developing nations - you would be surprised at how often Oxford and the LSE feature. <More than hints at future aspirations >
I think that UCL is on it's way up; but why speculate, when you can accumulate?
I don't want a government role. Truth be told I want to go into music anyway But I want a good versatile degree since.. well you know what the music industry is like!
