It may be better to do a LLB and specialise in environmental law with a LLM.

i've got lse cam and durham edinburgh on my list. i need one last one for geography (preferably a combination with economics or something else)
any ideas?
or should i just apply for two courses to lse?

You could try applying to UCL or QMUL as well? They have decent geog courses which can be combined with an economics minor.

A lot of people are saying Oxbridge, but your A-level subjects aren't ideal.

Take the above with a pinch of salt, though. Depending on the college, the preferred subject lists are only more-or-less official, and even at somewhere like Trinity (which publishes them, and makes clear it's not keen on applicants doing less-difficult A-levels) a good interview performance and evident passion for Geography might still carry you though.

I have no intentions of applying to Cambridge, so my subjects are not really an issue. Anyway, it's funny you should say "less-difficult" A-levels. I for one find sociology to be a lot more work, and harder technique-wise than geography. But hey, I suppose they just have to generalise.

Yeah, I'm looking into Nottingham, the course looks good, as does the campus/uni.

UCL is bang in the center of London, and I don't fancy that (shame because it has such a good course/reputation for geography). Then there is Bristol, I'm already applying to Durham so I don't want to fill two of my spaces with very very competitive Unis.

(BTW, are you doing geography at Durham? If so, what GCSE/A-level grades did you get? I don't want to be nosey but I'm finding it difficult to find out exactly how competitive it is)

I did do geography at Durham, I graduated this year,I'm now doing an MSc at Imperial.
I had AAB at A-level,as did many of my friends, but the offer is now AAA I think.

Land Ec is very different to Geography btw. It's more like a combination of Economics and Law with some of the social/planning side of Geography thrown in.

Yup, I'm doing Spatial Planning + Geog at Aberdeen and the bulk of the Planning side of the course is Economics, Land Economy, and Law - The economics is a complete nightmare!
