Default What Do You Think Of My Uni Choices?

Well, I'm hoping to apply for Criminology or Criminology and Social Policy. I was just wondering what people thought of my provisional choices.
GCSES: AAABBBBCCC
Predicted AS Results: ABBC

Durham University - Criminology (BBB)
London School of Economics - Criminology & Social Policy (BBB)
Lancaster University - Criminology (BBB)
Loughborough University - Criminology & Social Policy (BBC)
Leicester University - Criminology (BBB)

Is there any other universites you would advice to look into?
Thanks

They look like realistic choices. How about visiting a few to get a feel for the universities? Also, I have noticed that you are applying for LSE and Durham, they are two very different types of university in terms of their surroundings. With LSE you will be in the center of London - very busy and impersonal. In contrast, with Durham you will be in a small, ancient city with acres of green fields around you. Surely you prefer one or the other if you see what I mean?

Nothing wrong with keeping your options open.

If you're applying for Durham, have you thought about York? They're pretty similar, though personally I prefer York city wise.

Yeah, York is nice. I attended the open day and it was in my shortlist.
They are provisional choices.

That looks like a reasonable range of universities.

Personally, the best option there is Lancaster hehe but anyway... Try to look around them (might be hard as they seem to be at all ends of England lol), talk to tutors and current students, research the modules/options available to you when you get there as well as accommodation costs/quality and such. For example, at Lancaster you can take two minors in your first year, which is great if you are not 100% sure of your major or if you just like a bit of variety.

In terms of recommending others, it depends what you look for in a university. Push.com have a tool I think, where you can find other universities for your course / your grade expectations etc.
