rather have a car that's done 100k of motorway miles and been serviced every 9/10/12k or whatever the manufacturer says than something that has done <5k / year and not been serviced ...

My 2004 206 pug has done 222,680 k. It has had an exhaust replaced and a clutch replaced and a few lesser bits. It has never broken down and been fun to drive. It has done mixed driving with plenty of fairly short runs. It has been serviced regularly and properly. It has been fed with 98 fuel. I have owned it from new. I am 66 and still find it fun to drive.Mind it is a manual. I have previously driven all manner of cars, including a 246 Dino, Porsche 911 and so on. So get the right Pug and take care of it, don't trash Pugs.
