We had one last year, so I thought I'd get one up early this year!

So who's definitely coming here and what course are you studying?

Yeah, I'll be around to answer questions too. I'm not a student rep, so you won't get any "ZOMG BRUNEL IS SO BRILLIANT I LOVE IT!" biased nonsense. Just honest opinions. :^_^:

Isambard and Citizen you are officially the freshers' mentors in this forum!

...I'm not sure if I count as a fresher but as I will be fresh to Brunel and this forum is pretty dead, I will take the liberty to introduce myself first (even though I've posted here before):

Law is a tough subject! Just ask Citizen Zero, she failed ALL her modules last year!

And make sure you come to Brunel to have a look around this summer. All the buildings are open for you to look in and there is only perhaps 20% of the people here now, compared to what it will be like in JUST SIX WEEKS TIME!

Hehehe.

I hope this year's Freshers get to know the campus better than some of my acquaintances did! Half of them had only ever visited Loco's, the Library and the Lecture Centre. They seemed oblivious to anything else that may be on campus, nor did they seem to care.

Then again, even as far into the year as the final day before Easter break, I had a parcel to collect and couldn't for the life of me find The Boiler Room. I had to ask a member of staff. :o

I've been taking such a close look to the interactive Brunel map that I can bet I will instantly know where everything is once I get there.

I wont be a fresher as i'll be a postgraduate but i'll be new to Brunel,
I'll be doing MSc Aerospace Engineering, I went to Aberystwyth Uni to do my BSc in Maths.
How busy does the Library get? Are there many spaces to work either in groups or by yourself?

OOh Aber, I imagine youl find Brunel a bit different to Aber. Library can get very busy during peak times, on days where work is due, it can be hard to find a free computer even though there are hundreds littered about, however, there is usually always somewhere to sit and work... some are single space work area's and others are more designed for working in a group. Im sure there are also special rooms that you can prebook for group work.
