Default IMPORTANT PLEASE READ: Low Income Scheme

Just need a little bit of advice...here goes:

I applied for help with health costs and got a HC3 form due to the fact that the NHS don't take off tuition fees so it seemed as if I had £3070 more than I really do. On their site it says that it's up to the person applying when they apply as their entitlement is based upon a snapshot of their life at the time they apply. So I thought if I apply in summer when I don't get grants and bursaries for Uni I would qualify for a HC2. I don't have a job so at the minute I really do have no income what-so-ever!! However, one of the questions says have you applied for student finance which I have but this is for September not right now!!! Also the next question says what you live on during your time in Uni - but this isn't right now and it will again look like I'm on loads but I won't get half the money and what I do get will be in October!!! - this is clearly not a 'snapshot of my life at this moment in time'!

Has any students applied for help with health costs under the low income scheme and received a HC2 form. If you have can I ask when you applied?

It doesn't seem like I'm entitled to help with my health costs even just over the summer when I have no income - even though the application is for help with health costs on a low income - why?

thanks

and sorry for the long post I'm just really annoyed about this

mc

also on the site it says they do not include in the assessment any grants for tuition fees but when I applied they did include them and this is why I didn't get full help!

these are the sites by the way:

The HC2/£ lasts for a year, so it's only fair that if you're going to be getting some cash during the year, that it's taken into account as well.

get a job if it bothers you that much.
