What happens at the end of the Last King of Scotland?

I've watched most of it but I had to turn it off when they hung him by his skin.

And the cutting off the limbs of that girl was also hideous.

The African doctor goes in and saves Nicholas whilst the guards leave (I can't remember why they leave now), Nicholas gets on the plane taking the hostages away - the doctor gets shot when the guards discover Nicholas is gone. The plane takes off before they can do anything and it just shows Nicholas, beaten like hell by the plane window and his eyes close, I couldn't decide whether he died or not.

Decided to watch it based on this thread so spanks, twas a decent choice. You saw the worst by far, the last bit is pretty tame so put it back on and finish it or it'll haunt you for ages.
