Do you have a life's plan laid out? If so, what is it? xD

I'll be finished uni by the age of 24. Hopefully, I'll step into a general teaching job an work my way up the ranks through into private schools, and eventually move south into Devon/Cornwall and open up my own private school.

But I don't expect the grand plan will work like that at all. xD

You can go into private school teaching straight away-no need to work your way into it or any more qualifications needed than a state school...just maybe more dedication to the school and willingness to give up your time. Loads of my PGCE friends went into private school teaching, and one friend who has a Maths degree, but no PGCE or teaching qualification, has landed a job at a private boarding school...one of the best in the country. She doesn't have any experience of teaching or children really, but am sure she will be fine!

Erm, Uni. sheesh i'll be 24 by the time i graduate
Then. get a job.. that i like.. i.e not an office thing.
Somewhere nice and remote. Like Lapland. I don't like summer  it's too hot here now!
Hopefully find a guy that i can put up with Long Term.
Or, failing that, a fairly continuous run of Short Term guys.
I'll probably end up with a kid at some point.

No point making plans like 'right, 2 months after i graduate, i'll do an MA, after that, i'll become a lecturer at Edinburgh' and all that... Personal Plans fail to take into consideration every other buggar in the world ****ing it all up. Go with the flow.
Depends on exam results- may need a BSc before medical degree, but otherwise...

18-23, MBChb
23-25, Foundation Years
25-30, Get going with training for a specialist role, find a partner
30+ Start family and climb the career ladder

Vague but possible. Don't wanna plan further- by 25 I'll be a completely different person ;s
I'm gonna be a rockstar.
Graduate by 22 in MA Psych, do teacher training, travel to Australia and America, do a bit of work with kids in places like PGL or somewhere, get married, actually go to work as a teacher in this country, have bairns, work some more, look after said bairns, and probably never retire.

Or, do my degree and then go, damn, I want to be a doctor.
17-20/21--Finish uni in either the UK or US
20-23--Finish PhD in Neuroscience OR 21-25--Finish PhD and Medical Degree concurrently in the US

23-27--Finish medical school in the US (if I go to the UK for uni)

25/27-28ish/30ish--Finish medical residency and get a job as a neurologist
28/30-40--publish books, make babies, become a well-respected (highly paid) neurologist
40-65--become world renowned, make great discoveries in the field of neuroscience, raise my children and send them to Oxford/Harvard, become RICHHHH!
65--invent a way to live forever, and use it

eternity--spend it in my lamborghini/with my wife/playing football

And during that entire time I become an olympic wrestler...well I can dream can't I

Ha, I used to have such a detailed life-plan, but ditching physics last year instantly flipped everything on it's head. Now I'm focusing a lot more on just enjoying life. However, from arose a fear that I'm constantly missing out on having fun...still, I hope to become a clinical psychologist and hopefully get married and travel and stuff!
xJessx

I'll have to commute by train before I do my lessons and get my first car. I only want something like a little Suzuki Swift or a Nissan Almera.

I drive a Nissan Almera SE+

Anyway, my life plan:

BSc Psychology with Clinical Psychology, with a placement year, hopefully in a hospital being supervised by qualified Clinical Psychologists.. During this time I'll also be doing volunteer work in mental health.

One or two years of Assistant Psychologist work hopefully ??

Eventually gain a place on the Doctorate to study Clinical Psychology, lasting 3 years. Hopefully towards the end of this I will get married

Practice for a few years within the NHS, possibly have a child or two

Then either move abroad or save up for a nice house for my new family.

This is what I HOPE:

Chronologically,
-graduate Medicine
-work with NHS and get my recommendations while studying for bachelor's
-Become a doctor while studying for master's
-Buy a house/Get married/have kids/ while studying for doctorate
-keep working as doctor and work up towards counsellor as well as spending more time at home
-Become a cousellor and be pretty rich as well as furthering my studies in fields like Neuroscience.
-Work hard for a few more years, saved enough money.
-Then take a trip to more rural parts of China to help as a doctor there.
-Retired early.
Get drunk
Make life as pleasurable as possible. Don't have kids, invest in property and live off the rent.

Well most likely, but its not really a plan I've made:

23- graduate/qualify as a Dr
25- finish foundation years
(maybe gap year)
25- start specialist training as a GP?
28- qualified GP
28 onwards - marry/kids/work part time/ do some journalism/help out at a school/have fun

Subject to change. Could just drop out or graduate in something random.

I have no life plan.

well.. voluntary work and campaining for the forseeable future really, i doubt i'll ever want to give those up. Will most likely stay in Nottingham, or move to London. I cant see myself getting married or having kids, I dont really want a 'career' as id rather do volunteering and i dont want to buy a house.

Tomorrow I'll find out some of the shifts I'll be doing next week.

For your sake and for the sake of everyone, I hope that plan goes wrong somewhere.

Firstly it'd suck for you if your life did not contain and surprises, and secondly, it would suck to have a prime minister who's main ambition is to "get drunk and have sex all the time". Sort of like a mixture of Yeltsin and Clinton.
