Default Tired Eyes

Hi All,

I have a problem with my eyes/the skin around my eyes. It's hardly serious but I often look really tired/have redish skin around my eyes. Even when I'm not that tired.

I'm 21, Male, Student, Very Tall (over 6.3) I have very pale/celtic skin (almost white, palest of most of my mates at uni) this is because of the lack of sun I have up in Scotland.

I've considered combating this my using a Sunbed but because I'm so pale I figure it could be really bad for me - so I've opted out

I don't wanna use fake tan because it always looks awful.

Has anyone any suggestions on how I can make my eyes look more healthy?

No one else I see day-to-day seems to have such tired looking eyes.

I do eat quite well, I don't go to the gym though (I'm reall stick thin), and most of the time I'm well slept. But I look ghostly/like im on crack.

In fact sometimes people ask me what drugs I take.

Basically I look like Pete Doherty, but without the drug addiction.

Has anyone any suggestions of how I can combat this? Im willing to wear some kind of cosmetic product, or use a sunbed if necessary (if you can advise its safety) - but Like in real sun I burn really easily.

Do you moisturise the skin around your eyes well enough? Do you use any harsh soap or washes on your face? Its really delicate around there, and can get irritated easily.

You could wear concealer, but i (being a girl) find it does rub off fairly easily during the day, so it could need a lot of effort and touching up throughout the day (and im guessin your mates might rib you a lil bit about wearing make up if they noticed)

You could also try icing your eyes using a cool pack on there, that will tighten up the skin a bit, or some pieces of fresh cucumber

Oh, and do you drink enough water? my eyes get saggy if i dont drink enough every day

Why anon out of interest?

I've heard putting teabags on your eyes, cos of the caffine in them, I tried it myself. It doesn't do wonders though.

I don't know how healthy you are, but if you drink more water your body will be more hydrated, and may help.

Sorry, but I don't have shockingly pale skin and I've lived in NE Scotland all my life. Clearly no lack of sun. You must be having a giraffe.

Try eye cream, or go to the doctor if you have constantly bloodshot eyes cos that can't be good.
