Re: The Liverpool F.C. Society III
Ehh its been said for a while that DIC refuses to buy Liverpool (mainly because of the cost and no longer sees it as a good investment) but Sheikh Mohammed (ruler of Dubai and owner of DIC) may still want to buy out the club on his own, with his money just because he can/wants to etc.

Re: The Liverpool F.C. Society IIIbut might be waiting until the end of the year when it will be clearer whether or not the yanks will get the 6 month extension. Their valuation is ridiculous but might become closer to realistic if they realise they can't afford to keep the club(Original post by sarforaz)

Re: The Liverpool F.C. Society IIII disagree. If he hadn't tripped Keane he would've been one on one with Van Der Sar. Denying a clear goal scoring opportunity.(Original post by Ronaldo VII)
Correct, apart from the small fact that neither was a red card. I don't think missing games at home to Middlesbrough in the league cup or home to Bolton in the league would have caused any concern either.
Second one I'd let go for a yellow. It was clumsy and he wasn't going for the ball.
Doesn't matter too much to me how many games he misses. I'd rather focus on our games. If we don't beat Stoke... -
Re: The Liverpool F.C. Society IIIHaven't seen the incident since but my gut instinct at the time was it was only a Yellow, seemed a way out and Ferdinand was quite close to him, having said that I reckoned the second one was a straight red, not sure if it came across that way on TV with all the slow-mo stuff but Vidic came hurtling in at some rate and lead with the elbow.(Original post by jamlan)

Re: The Liverpool F.C. Society IIII see the Rent Boys are still trying to buy an atmosphere. They're trying to get the flags that they put out for last season's game as well haha.(Original post by kpg)

Good job on schooling the Mancs too over the weekend. -
Re: The Liverpool F.C. Society IIIScouse free zone or similar lol. You'd think they would have something better for their first European final.(Original post by Ascient)
Haha yeah. They're a bit obsessed with your club. I'm sure their fans were waving Liverpool insult banners during their EUROPEAN CUP FINAL final against the Mancs lol. -
Re: The Liverpool F.C. Society III
marsielle play a 4-2-3-1 formation with kone behind nyiang up front. they are very quick.
i know you beat them 4-0 last season and it was a class performance but i think it might be a draw tonight
should be a cracking atmosphere over there. much better then chelsea anyway even without scarves and whatnot -
Re: The Liverpool F.C. Society IIIThe funniest has to be a champions league night a few seasons back when Clive Tydlsdley of all people commented at Old Trafford about the stretford singing about Liverpool all night long.(Original post by Ronaldo VII)

But I agree -
Re: The Liverpool F.C. Society III
Mmm I think Rafa will be slightly more concerned with Torres so might rest since we have a few striker options (even if not as good) I dont expect him to play a full 90 mins so either will be a start and taken off after 60 mins, or come on after 60 mins, we'll see how confident Rafa is.
Since Gerrard had a 30 min run out, I expect him to start.
Aurelio is out so Dossena should be at left back, Carragher will start as always but I think Agger will come in for Skrtel, Degen might come in too, obviously Reina at the back.
I half hope Masch is rested, came off with a heavy knock so give him a few more days I say...
............Keane.........Kuyt.. .......
Reira.......Alonso....Gerrard... ...Benayoun
Dossena....Agger...Carragher...D egen
..................Reina......... ......
With Torres coming on for Keane/Kuyt depending on who's playing better and Babel on for Reira and maybe Mascherano on for Benayoun.
So then we'd switch back to a
....................Torres...... .........
Babel..........Gerrard.......... .Kuyt
...........Masch...Alonso......
For the last 30 mins, assuming we're like 2-0 up
(maybe Lucas to get some minutes?)
6 and a half hours to goooooooo! -

We only have to wait till January. No bank in the world in their right mind will give these two cowboys a single penny/cent to borrow. After that hopefully someone will swoop. Just a case of who that 'someone' turns out be. It probably won't be DIC because there's little money to be made of us at the moment though
It's only a matter of time.
That Barton guy sounds like an idiot
