I'm just called to interview on the 7th Dec. Really no idea...My course is engineering.

Is there anyone, especilally from Newhall, can possibly give me any example that what kind of question I'm going to be asked?

Thanks...

don't know about newhall, but I'm applying for Engineering at Trinity.
I've two interviews. For the first one I have to bring written work for discussion and in the second one I'll have to solve mathematical and physical problems.

http://oa.waveflex.com Btw, I feel very sorry for you applying to New Hall; I'm a fresher here and I hate it. The college is a ghost town, and none of the college societies, apart from the sports clubs, can be bothered to anything. I'm supposed to be on the RAG committee, wich has so far organised sod all. So, if you do get in, make absolutely sure you make an effort to get a life outside college in freshers' week (which unfortunately means forcing yourself to go to all the pub crawls and club nights, even if you are not that kind of person), as once lectures start people are never around. I hope for your sake that you are an extrovert and are the kind of person who never has trouble making friends, because I am not, and am finding it very hard here. Good luck with your application.

so sorry that you're having a tough time. New Hall is somewhat removed, being so far up that huge hill and all... you should have come to newnham!

minta, have u tried joining any university-wide societies and things? my friend jenny is at new hall (english student) and has taken up tae-kwon-do, which is how she's managed to meet loads of people from other colleges.

which is how she's managed to meet loads of people from other colleges.

...and kick the crap out of them.

In all seriousness, I'd hate to go to an all guys college after going to an all boys school and despite how it feels with the ratios doing compsci every so often it's not the same. If youre not into sport I can see the socialising being a problem but if you know anyone at other colleges you could always adopt their college? I know a few people who're best known at a college other than theirs!

Oh and if we have another UKL/TSR meet then you have to come to that so that you meet freaks from the internet, that way we're rl friends rather than online ones. Which seems less like you're a recluse who doesn't see the light of day and has no friends!

Now I've eaten my toast I should probably go to bed!

also you can hang out with people from the faculty. though i know it must be tough for Intensive Latin guys cos you seem to be forgotten about sometimes, but you're more than welcome to find me in the common room one day.

Heh are you psycic (oh dear I so can't spell at 2.30 in the morning!). I went on the Newnham open day last summer and knew as soon as I walked in that I had found 'my' college. I only applied to New Hall because I thought I had a better chance of getting in (clear moral of the story). Anyway, yes I have joined a few uni societies - First Aid, Mag Soc at Queens', CUSAGC, but I haven't really 'clicked' with anyone, and frankly some of the people at these socs annoy the hell out of me so I don't go that often. Oh well, I guess there's always next year.
