Default Motor Trikes-

Hey all, I've always been pretty obsessed with motorbikes but my parents refuse to endorse my habit

My question is- at what age can you legally drive a Motor Trike in the UK and is it possible to learn to drive a trike without first learning to ride motorbikes?
Im 16 so next year Ill be taking either my 125cc or car test.

Thanks in advance.

I would have thought trikes would be classified the same as bikes? I mean, I can't find any separate tests for it... might be worth seeing if you can find an enthusiasts site and asking on there?

Don't drive a car, they suck.

The DVLA states that you need B1 entitlement to ride a trike upto 550kg (unladen) and B entitlement for a trike upto 3550kg. So in practice* this means that you can ride ANY trike on a full car licence? Is that right?

* theoretically..

Thanks all.
