Do you know which of these universities is the best: Loughborough, Essex, Hull or Leicester? Are these universities respected? I´m interested in studying economics. Which university would you recommend? Thanks for any tips.
Go to Essex, that University's economic research is renowned. In Essex, you are lively likely to meet university professors who graduate from world top economic graduate schools.
All of them are, broadly speaking, good universities, though in your particular case I would recommend either Essex or Leicester, as they have the strongest Economics departments out of those four.
But, more importantly, choose the course which interests you most; each course has variations with some offering more course in applied economics whereas others offer more in terms of core macro/micro theory and econometrics. Also, choose the university where you feel most comfortable and enjoy the location. These are also important things to consider.
Thanks for all of your advice so far. However, I have one more question.
I’m not quite sure about choosing the degree either. Do you know which of these degrees might be most relevant to work: BSc Economics, BA Accounting and Finance, Economics with Accounting, Business Economics & Finance, Economics & International Economics, BA Business Economics or BA Financial Economics?
I find them all interesting but it’s difficult to estimate in which degrees ´important´ things are taught and which improve your graduate prospects most. Many thanks for your help.

Choose the course which suits you best.
The most directly relevant to a career would be Accounting and Finance, though your career options are still very much open with Economics and its variants.
