should i write:
"Further to this, I attended a course on The Case of Israel-Palestine at Heythrop College, University of London, where we explored differing attitudes towards and effects of the Gaza barrier."



also,
"...was runner up in a school Creative Writing prize."

do i say "for a poem" or "for a poem inspired by..." or what? or do i leave it?

Depends how you're doing for words...

For the first I'd keep Heythrop College, but bin UoL. Also, you might want to think about whether you want to say "we explored", as it's not normally a way I'd describe a conference.

As for the second, I'd keep it relatively short, as it doesn't sound like it has much to do with your chosen course.

I think its important that you show the course was at higher/Uniersity level but otherwise its not really important as to where the course was.
Try and cut as much out of it as possible, as its very difficult to fit a PS within the 47 lines anyway.
