Default Cost of food and necessities now at uni.. how much of a difference are you noticing?

Hey everyone, I was just curious and don't mean to scare anyone here, but with inflation rising to 4.4% now, family's are starting to feel the increased cost of living..

I just wanted to know, how much you are paying per week as a student now for food.. I doubt whether this price rise is going to make anyone go without food, but how much of a difference are you noticing in your weekly budget on food and alcohol.. etc etc..

Maybe it would be beneficial to name some foods that you buy.. staple foods and luxury foods.. and how much they are costing you..

I went in to tescos a few weeks ago and they were selling tubs of raspberries for £2.99...i'm sure raspberries didn't used to be so expensive...
Also my rent has gone up, and has for a lot of my friends, which is a bigger hassle than food prices going up a bit.

learn to shop smart. Local butchers and farmers markets are cheaper and better quality than the supermarkets.

Foods I buy?

Chicken breasts 1.5kg for £5 at butchers
Ground beef £3 per k
Pasta i get from the supermarket. Not expensive I buy it in big bulk
Assorted veg + fruit all cheaper at the farmers market
