Same :frown: I've got 240 in photography which was my pretty much guaranteed A, yet it's come up with B :frown:
240 out of 300 is an A.
80% you just made it lol
Congrats!
120 is an A at AS, so 240 is an A at A2 I think.....

Grade boundaries are subjective to how many people get marks....so if people did better than usual the grade boundary will move up.
Oooo maybe you need 241?

Am I right in thinking 240 UMS marks is an A? Because in chemistry I hve exactly 240 and it says B... Can anyone help?

Yes, you are correct.

240/300 = 80% which is the A boundary.

Er yeah.. in raw marks, UMS it stays exactly the same. 240 is an A.

Thats incorrect. The UMS boundaries always stay the same!

No, the raw marks will equate differently to UMS marks to compensate for people doing better/worse than usual. Those are the boundaries that move. Once the score is scaled to UMS though, 240/300 will always be an A.

Perhaps it's dodgy Edexcel coding.

240/300 is an A at AS, therefore an A at A2 would be 480/600.

I think your thinking of UCAS points. :p:

I sounds like you have just got an A to me.
Wait until you get your results at school, as it may come out as an A.
Otherwise you need to speak to the exam board as that is clearly wrong.
