Will they look down on me for these grades?

Just put them as pending on your application and retake them, work really hard and you can get back up there.

Meh, I suggest you do resits and work your ass off this year and apply next year. But I guess you have nothing to lose from applying this year.

I don't think you can do this any more. If you've received your grades and they've been cashed in, you have to state them on your form.

OP, I'm in a similar situation to you, having received CDE in my AS Levels. I'm just going to retake and work my absolute hardest to try and get up to anything between BBB/BCC. I think the universities you've listed are good choices. Don't give up yet! Just make sure you have a kick-ass personal statement and a good reference!

As long as you keep your language as your best grade you should be fine. You will need to do the spring resits and improve. Don't forget that there are always places available through clearing and no matter where you end up, you will enjoy it if you want to!

As others have said before, I'd recommend resitting some of those exams.

I feel the same and I was thinking to apply to heriot-Watt too, They need at least a CCD to get in and I got:

Tech: C
Maths: D
IT: E
Physics: U

Im resitting all of physics some maths and and it, but apparently loads of people in the country got really low marks in the exam. (The highest in our class was a low D!)

I got a very low C in french at AS (in all honesty it was closer to a D), in January I resat the writing paper and the listening/reading paper.
And this pushed my grade up by 51 marks!
It was hard work, but i knew I had to do it and it worked.

Then in the summer I re-resat the listening/readsing to gain another 20 marks.
So ended up just three points off an A and I got my top choice uni.

Most of the places I looked at wanted a B in the chosen langauge anyway.

If you really want in for 2010 entry, bargain with your teachers in september to give you good predicted grades. plead with them. even plead special circumstances if you can. do your re-sits and kick ass.

precisely what i am doing considering I have to re-take every AS Module I've sat this year. I'm just gunna take a gap year instead though and apply for 2001
