Default Postgrad starting in September - when exactly?

hi everyone,

i'm not quite clear on when the actual courses (postgrad - MRes) start at UCL. the international students introduction thingie is 17-19 september, then you register on the 22nd/23rd. but what happens then? when do the actual courses start? am slightly confused...

In the history department at least (for last year at that) teaching doesn't begin until the week after, and they refer to the first week as induction week whilst referring you to a different timetable. Different departments may have different schedules, and I hope they have SOMETHING that first week, so perhaps it would be worth emailing about?

My package said actual classes start the week of the 29th (Msc student). Did you get a load of papers mailed to you with dates? That's where I got that information.

Hm I'm still conditional too (my classes only ended this August)... maybe you should email your student advisor to make sure? Stuff from them does seem to take a while to mail though...
