Pharmacology is a lot to do with how molcules effect the body on a cellular level and thus on a collective level. You will also look at how the drugs move around the body, how they are absorbed, metabolised (broken down) and excreted. You may also do some drug development stuff but i am not too sure.

Pharmacy does cover some pharmacology but also looks at microbiology and medicine manufacture. You will learn the science behind the discovery, development, and production of drugs. You will cover the legal aspects of pharmacy practice as well as the social and psychological aspects of practicing as a pharmacist. Clinical checking of prescriptions and making unlicensed products will come early in the course, and some degree of minor ailments management and patient counseling will probably be introduced later on.

Pharmacology (in Greek: pharmacon (φάρμακο&#957:wink: meaning drug, and logos (λόγο&#962:wink: meaning science) is the study of how substances interact with living organisms to produce a change in function. (You cannot become a pharmacist with a pharmacology degree, you need to hold a MPharm degree and register with the RPSGB, in order to work in Great Britain.)

Pharmacy (from the Greek φάρμακον = drug) is a transitional field between health sciences and chemical sciences and a profession charged with ensuring the safe use of medication. (You study pharmacology within the pharmacy degree itself)
