Re: Post your best photographCheers mon. I believe it's Ratcliffe on Soar . Took it from the window of a coach on the M1 but did a little research later, fairly sure it's Ratcliffe.

Re: Post your best photographDisclaimer: Im going to be harsh, because he asked what everyone thought. Im not doing it to be a dick, doing it so he can get better.(Original post by Ihaveaquestion)
Let me know what you think.
Overprocessed within an inch of its life - Try go easy on the HDR. The sky inbetween the light beams is black. When has that ever happened IRL
Underexposed - You may have a high dynamic range (HDR) but overall the image is underexposed. Id rather see a few blown highlights than a whole image underexposed
Composition is quite poor as well - Centralised subjects dont tend to work wellLast edited by DanBrwn; 28-05-2012 at 22:11. -

By overprocessed do you mean stuff like Photoshop? If so, I haven't used any software for this photo. Also which part are you referring to when you say "The sky inbetween the light beams is black."
And I take on board your comments about composition and exposure. I'm pretty new to this, so still finding my feet!
Thanks again for your comments. They're really appreciated. -

Re: Post your best photographYou... you should get a new camera.(Original post by Ihaveaquestion)
Yep, put my SD card in and this is what I saw! -
Taken in Grundarhverfi in Iceland in October, my favourite picture I have ever taken. D90 with 18-105 kit lens and Hoya pro circular polariser. Totally unedited, what you see is what I saw (plus slight enhancement by polariser).

Re: Post your best photographIt's pointed straight at the sun, that's gonna do funny things to the balance, the black areas will just be heavily underexposed sections of sky when compared to the areas where the rays are adding light. If you were to bump the exposure in post it'd look normal.(Original post by DanBrwn)
You... you should get a new camera. -
That is really lovely. Beautiful colours!(Original post by jamesvancollier)
