Re: Post your best photographSome lovely images, but I love the first 365 self portrait in particular! Did you have the idea to put all six together before you started shooting, or was it something that came out of the process?(Original post by nosceteipsummm)
I tend to do best with portrait work. I have a handful (give or take) that I particularly like (all shot on either a Canon Rebel XTi or a Canon 60D). Here, I'll post 2 and put the rest in spoilers.
These were taken on Bonfire Night 2011 in Lewes, England.

Spoiler:ShowThis self-portrait was taken in July of 2010 as part of my 365 project (took one photo every day for a year and a body part had to be in it, even if it was just a hair).

Taken at an amusement park in August of last year.

Shot my cousin's senior photos in August of last year.

Another self-portrait from the 365 project.

Okay okay I'm done! -
Re: Post your best photographI had the opposite reaction - I loved the other photos but I thought that composite image was far less mature than the others. It feels too posed, not organic enough, and the fake smiles take away from the overall effect.(Original post by FluffyLion)

Re: Post your best photographOMG, this is sooo cute , brilliant photo(Original post by wrnicholls)
Red squirrel on a 14mm lens full frame camera.
Had to be 3 inches from the lens to take this!

Re: Post your best photographI feel like it tells much more of a story; the six images presented as they are allow a greater range of actions, and the repeated 'self + thing' tells that story.(Original post by Feefifofum)

Re: Post your best photographI like this. Did you create the newspapers yourself?
My own reaction to this picture reminded me inexplicably of dogs shouting 'SQUIRREL' in the Pixar film, Up.(Original post by wrnicholls)

Re: Post your best photographVery nice and that is a very familiar mountain/hill for me and if I'm not mistaken that was taken a mile away from Llanfairfechan? And I really like the lighthouse one as well, such a superb area for photography, even after 2 years there, I know there's still numerous places I need to visit.(Original post by unruly1986)

Re: Post your best photographHi Olie, cheers for the comments. Yes you're right; I took that on the Tal-y-Bont bridge near Hendre Hall. The faint mountain in the background is where the Penmaenbach tunnels are. I fancy having another crack at it, probably when there is a little more light. I felt like a bit of an idiot stood there with camera/tripod, in the pitch black taking pictures of cars, but I think it was worth it!(Original post by Olie)

Penmon lighthouse seems to have been done to death on Flickr but it's still worth a drive over.
Do you know if there are any photo groups/clubs in the area? -

Mhm watermarks! I tried to place them in the least obstructive spot in each picture.
After getting one of my images plastered around the city by a NGO I learned to watermark my images. I don't make $ of my images, and I gladly would've given them the rights to it for free, but I like to be acknowledged for my work and, unfortunately, some people don't care to acknowledge other people's work. -
Re: Post your best photographYou're an idiot.(Original post by AnnyRoquentin)
But photography is an art form, and art shouldn't exist just to look pretty.
You said it yourself infact, it is an art form, therefore by definition it exists primarily for AESTHETICS.
It is there for just that, to look pretty. Anything else is just a secondary effect. -
Re: Post your best photographYou couldn't be more wrong. Aesthetics only applies to some photography. For me, photography is more about getting people to have an emotional response something - rather than think its pretty.(Original post by talibkdar)
