People need to get this idea that what I'm getting at is that abstract is the way to go, out of their heads. Look at Jeff Wall's work, it's not really to my taste but I consider it far more creative and interesting than a lot of abstract photography, because of the thought and concepts that have gone behind it.
Why don't you stop criticising everyone else and post something yourself?

Because all of my better photographs are part of larger installations, generally including sound. Not quite conveyable on an internet forum. I might go and have a root about in a minute for some to scan in, because I've older photographs that stand on their own or in series.

    Wow those are cool.

For the record, I like all the photos in this thread regardless of what their intrinsic artistic worth may be.

I'm no photographer too, though. It's just fun to capture memories.
And another little thing, I hate how there is almost a taboo on colour, how black and white is often used to make photos "classier".

I don't really 'get' photography, splurged £150 on a camera, but just becuase you have an expensive camera in your hands doesn't make you a brilliant photographer unfortunatly. Nice for taking snaps though, will be useful to take pictures of time at Uni, so I can look back when I am old lol.

Anyway, thistles in bright morning sunlight:
