It probably works out cheaper and easier to contract it out, especially if you're sending out 6000 or so identical things. If it's just a letter or something, then it's probably more convenient to print it out themselves, but for a mass-produced glossy brochure, they can probably get it done much cheaper by a company that specialises in that sort of thing.

Anyone get that little booklet about freshers week this morning.. it smells bad. lol.


Mine smells all nice, like freshly printed paper!! :biggrin:

Also, I like how the only society leaflet in there is the LGBT society :cool:
A nice amount of typos in the postgrad leaflet, lol.

What's the difference between terms and semesters? I need to find time to go to Japan for a week or so at some point during the year and I'm assuming the only time I could do this would be between terms (correct me if I'm wrong).

There are three terms (Autumn, Spring, and Summer) and two semesters (1 & 2, say):

There are breaks at Christmas and Easter for you to go to Japan.
