It said something about pop-ups, so I disabled them, but it still wouldn't work. I might try it on a different computer and see if it works. Thanks for your help. :]
They've been having problems with the website recently. Mine didn't work at first so I tried it on another computer and it was fine. Make sure you enable pop-ups. If it says you've already completed it when you haven't you need to ring them up to get them to cancel it so you can do it again. I had to do this because I accidentally quit the quiz half way through.
I applied a while back and have just been invited to the instore assessment.
I'm dead nervous about the store assessment, handing out baskets? I've never seen anyone doing that in the store. I hope they just ask me to go find some products like make up and fake tan! I know that store like the back of my hand.
I love the uniform, I think it's so smart.
Got my interview tomorrow, 11am. Gives me time to look around the shop, hopefully it ain't that busy = less embarrassing.
i got introduction soon and the manager said she will tel me about the uniform on the day. but just wondering.. does anyone know what the uniform is for boys working at boots?
thanks
Trousers....shirt and boots tie for those working in a sales role

Looking to apply online but where the job says Christmas temp on the site it has the job listed as :
Function - Store Assistant/Consultant, UK Operations
Our Roles
As a Sales Assistant you will take every opportunity to provide information to our customers and help them select the best products and services. The customer is everything to you, and you'll always want to do the right thing for them. You'll always be natural and friendly, helping our customers leave happy and come back soon.
As an Operations Assistant you will present the products that our customers want to buy, through excellent stock handling. You'll get the stock on the shelves quickly and efficiently and make sure displays are showing the latest offers and promotions. You'll make sure that stock gaps are filled quickly to ensure the best shopping experience for our customers.
As a Consultant you will create an outstanding customer shopping experience that leads to increased sales within your store. You'll be a role model for 'customer care', and be passionate about identifying customer needs and sharing product knowledge. You'll always be on the lookout for ways of building professional and category learning within your store.
So would that not be a sales assistant position or is it worth applying for having not been a sales consultant.

Anyone know an answer to this?
If I were you I'd ring them up. All the slots online may have already been filled by other people.
Had my interview today. The greeting customers bit was a disaster - I got ignored by pretty much everyone and people just smiled instead lol. The parcacetomal bit was fine - I completely fluked it and find it within about ten seconds Then the woman show me an aise and said what improvements would you make. I also had to hand out leaflets for the Boots points card - I asked around five people and all of them had one allready! Then after that went and had a very brief interview.
Only problem was they are looking more for full time workers so she said she'll see what she can and try and sort weekends out.
I applied for an xmas temp job at one store and wasn't successful but does anyone know if I can still apply for another xmas temp job at another store?
I've got an interview tomorrow with Boots in Chelsea. Should I wear black trousers, black shoes and any shirt?
Also how would I offer the advantage cards, as in what would I say to the customers? And what improvements should I say need to be done?
Thx
the way i offered the card is by stopping people by asking if they already had an advantage card - mainly because most people already have one and therefore you're wasting your time if you start explaining everything
so just ask if they have one, if they say no, just hand them a leaflet
easy peasy.
good luck
(oh i did it that way and got the job :p)
Can anyone say roughly how long it is taking between applying to boots and getting some sort of reply? Do they tell you either way or jsut ignore you if they don't want you for an interview?
I have my induction on sunday - anyone know what to expect? They said they would write to me but I havent got anything, but the interview was only a week ago - should I just assume its all still on?

I had well prepared for the interview, examples:
Researched Boots
Memorized the store, and lol where the paracetemol was.
And that other thread in student room, for the questions they might ask.
Here's what happened.
I got to the interview 10 mins early, the interviewer arrived 10 mins late.
she took me into like a small room, and like another female interviewer joined her.
She started asking me questions, like 'why do you wanna work for boots?', 'what are you studying?', 'what can you bring to the job?', 'name a time you dealt with a challenge', I answered all of them (thank god I prepared lol). Then she made me pick a card at random, which had a scenario on it. which was 'A mother walks in store, and says her son wants to start shaving, what can you advise'. I was happy, cause I knew exactly where to go in store, and what promotional offer were available. She gave me 10 mins, I picked gilette fusion razor which was on offer for half price, and gillete shaving cream. She ask why those products, I emphasized the promotional offer. She asked 'did you consider anything else'. I mentioned other offers available.
she asked more questions, like 'how would you deal with a aggravated customer' etc. At this point it was 20 mins in the interview.
She then comes out with 'I'm very impressed by you, and usually I would wait a few hours, but I want to offer you the job now'. I was shocked lol, offered a job on the spot, anyway the rest is boring, like evenings and weekends etc. what area in the store etc.,
My induction is next week thursday, and she said i start properly on the 6th.
(btw, I didn't need to know where the paracetemol was, I didn't need to hand out baskets, and didn't need to advertise the advantage card)
