I was just wandering if anyone has done the STEP papers with a free choice from the three papers (I, II, or III). They are not compulsary, and I was just wandering which ones I should take. I take Further Maths, so should have done the topics in STEP III by next summer - thanks in advance.

If a top university knows you are doing Further maths, they will ask of you Step II and III. Step I is aimed at Single maths students.

I don't think you have a choice...if you do further math then you're asked to take II and III I believe

From what ive heard Step I is the easiest and only requires amths knowledge. The other 2 are more difficult and require further maths knowledge which obviously you have. WHy no take Step I and then 1 more of the other 2. This seems a sensible approach.

By the way this infomation was given to me by a friend who has just done STEP this year
