Burton do a decent range. You could also try M&S or Debenhams, perhaps?
+1 for burton, mine has done pretty well.

I used to love George - their pyjamas used to be legendary - but nowadays it's all pretty pants in there. You occasionally see something on tv or in a magazine that looks nice from there but you go and it's crap! Must say they do good bras though! Til it got all twisted after a few months of wear my 'The One' bra from there was legendary! And my all-time favourite black boost bra is from there, only a fiver

Sainsbury's and Tesco have overtaken Asda on the clothing front now, in my opinion

I buy most some of my underwear from there too.

I got a pink hoodie from Asda once, someone had put in the reduced counter, for £3.50. one of my best buys

I bought some flip flops in there agess ago, they were amazing, lasted me a good few years. However i bought a jumper once but it was horrible, so don't have a clue why i even bought it.
Their accessories can be quite nice, and don't tend to fall apart
The shop which i used to go into has closed down. And the supermarket is AGES away from me..

Does anyone shop at George at ASDA? I mean I know the majority of TSRians are rah/posh folk and they look down on the value for money shops like George at ASDA but I think it's a brilliant place.

So does anyone shop at George at ASDA? If so, what do you buy from there?

I think the suits they sell are quite peng. What do you think?

Most of my clothing is George clothes, not too much of a fan of the G21 range though

...and the fact that I know the different ranges just proves that I am too much of an Asda addict!

edit: plus, I always get the best jeans from either Asda or Tesco, all the other shops that do tall jeans seem to think my crotch is a mile long! :O I have to wear them like Simon Cowell...

both of my pairs of jeans i wear all the time are actually from George and i love them! They're just so soft and were so much less expensive than everywhere else i looked.
Also have a couple of casual shirts that i wear constantly from there.

I love the fit of the jeans from Asda but they do become loose around the waistband rather quickly.

And I adore the baby clothes from there. (not as much as Next baby though!)

If it stopped selling Womens clothes its not something I would be too upset about but I have bought a few things from there.

i think its good for general clothing, its when people start shopping at places like george and primark to buy specifics, prom dresses, ect,
i reckon anything like that is woth going that little futher for money wise,

but ye to geroge (Y) if u like it and its cheap then why not!

Yeah, for the cheap tshirts. Mind you, they don't last very long, but they're only £1.50 and alright to wear when you're cleaning or doing something mucky or just underneath your clothes on a cold day...

    Re: George at ASDA
I didn't have a George/Asda near me when I was at uni, but before I moved away I went to the George shop whenever I was in the centre of Liverpool - I loved their T-shirts, and I got a nice V-neck jumper, and a nice denim skirt, too. I would definitely shop elsewhere for classic staples (black work trousers, coats, cocktail dresses), but for T-shirts and the like, it's a great way to pick up little on-trend pieces without spending much. And I always found the quality slightly better than Primark - and there are fewer identikit clones wearing the same T-shirt as you if you buy from George!

Haven't been in recently, but a couple of years ago I loved it to bits!

Aye, you can pick yourself up a good bargain from there on clothes and accesories. They also sometimes have decent stuff in, depending on season stock etc.

I get my hipster trunks from asda. They're decent enough.

and if I ever need a tie/shirt i'll just go to asda.

    Anything else is a no.

I've never actualy been to ASDA before but my mate got a top from George at ASDA and it was a nice top.
Infact I saw one rather similar in Topshop except it cost three times as much.

I like George at asda. Some stuff is naff though, but they have a teen clothes range, (G21 or something?) and it's really good. It's also good value for money, and is about 100000000000000 times better than tesco florence and fred range and what not lol.
