Default Mental health issues

I wouldn't really class it as a disability, but i didnt know where else to post this.
Bascially, i got my freshers pack this week, and it mentions about a mental health advisory service - who "work with students who have declared mental health needs". Now ive been under the care of a mental health team for the past 5 years, and im unsure weather or not it would be a good idea to declare this in erollment. I dont want to burn any bridges (ie. i want to be able to access help if i need it) but at the same time, im doing a psychology course and id rather not have tutors and lecturers knowing unless they needed to.
I'm really confused about what to do :\

Starting university is a big adventure but it's also a big challenge.

If you've had the support of a mental health team for the last 5 years then there is probably something going on that suggests, at least occasionally, that you need/benefit from that support.

The support team at your uni shouldn't inform lecturers/tutors without your permission, you can always double check that by emailing them and asking hypothetically if someone was to declare a problem who would the information be passed onto? That's a vague enough question that they can't infer any particular personal problem from.

Personally I'd suggest declaring it, it makes things a whole lot easier if you do have any kind of problem at a later date if the relevant body at the university has been told in advance.

For me, I know that declaring my mental health issues is the best thing I can do. If I start to struggle then I go downhill fast and that's when I need a lot of support.

I'd tell them, just in case.

I'd say let them know, even if you are basically recovered the help to prevent relapse is always useful.
