Yeah, I haven't even bothered looking at the rankings of all of the unis I've applied to, I've just chosen them because of their course content and also by how I feel there. I'm not realistically going to get into a top 10 uni, so my degree is going to be 'useless' (if you listen those people who take the uni ranking tables too seriously lol) anyway, so I don't see the point

Have you been to an open day at Roehmapton?

No not been to an open day yet. Planning to go on 21 February. Have you? Ive only looked at the rankings to make sure that the unis ive applied for arent right at the bottom other than that, im just going on the areas i like and the course content.

I sent UCAS off in January and got a reply 3 weeks later

I went to an open day last November, will probably be going again though (maybe in April) to have another look around. I wonder if they're going to have open days for those who have offers? To have a closer look at the departments that they've applied to. A couple of the other unis I've applied for are doing this, and it sounds like a really good idea.

Was the campus hard to get to? as heard it doesnt have a tube station. They might do, that would make the decision easier if they do.

flowermaster91 - Have you seen the campus before and is it your frim choice?

They don't have tube station, but they do have a train station and the uni is only a 10 minute walk from there

The nearest station to Roehampton is Barnes. You can either walk from there to the uni (about 10-15 mins to Southlands, longer to Whitelands) or you can get the bus. It used to be the 265 but it may have changed, tfl will tell you. Or you can get to Putney and get the 430 or 85 to the bottom (Whitelands end) of Roehampton Lane, or the 72 from Hammersmith.

As Paeony said, it's Barnes station.
tfl.gov.uk and nationalrail.co.uk are good sites for finding directions on public transport

I'm in my second year at Roehampton at the moment, it's not that bad! The campus is absolutely beautiful, social life is a bit rubbish unless you're in to very mainstream/cheesy stuff but you can always go into central....the estate isn't that bad, it's a bit of a dump but I walk through it on my own at night all the time and have never had any trouble. Some of the courses aren't great, I do dance though which is fantastic, really well taught and organised.

HEY Everyone!

I have an offer at Roehampton to do Zoology!! I am v. excited. I have offers from Nottingham, Reading, Swansea, Queen Mary and Roehampton but I think I'm putting Reading as my firm, and Roehampton as my insurance.

Is anyone else worried about accomodation? Becuase I think it's likely I'll be going to Roe (Woop woop) but if its my insurance I might miss out on accomodation on campus!! NO!

Can anyone help with any useful knowledge ?

PM me for MSN address
