Ok, so this may be a little long.. Sorry 'bout that.

My husband and I have been trying to conceive now for just about six years. I was diagnosed with PCOS (poly cystic ovary syndrome), my doctor put me on clomid along with metformin. I have been on these meds for six months now. This month I decided not to obsess with ovulation tests. Every month prior to now I have ovulated on the 16th or the 18th day of my cycle. So I decided to go by that. My husband and I "baby danced" on days 10 12 14 16 18 20 22 of my cycle. As per the doctors orders. My periods weren't real regular until I was put on the clomid. After being on it I have only missed one period, compared to having only one period if that a year.

Anyhow back on the subject. I normally get cramps three days before my period is to come. This time around I started to get cramps about one week before hand, which would of been day 25 of my cycle. They continued on and off for the week, until 2 days after my period was due.The day before my period should of been here, I had snotty like CM, I have never experienced any CM before my period. It usually happens only around the time I Ovulate. My period never came. A few days after my period was due I started to spot, light pink/ brown with some CM (cervical mucus).
I haven't had many other symptoms other then sore Boobs. And a few bouts of nausea. I have been a little more tired then normal to.

The spotting continued for just about 4 days. My periods are normally heavy when they first start, and continue to be until my last day. I never start out light, let alone pink. Its always heavy with a lot of brown (dried) blood.

Can implantation bleeding occur after your period is due?
I did take a pregnancy test the day the spotting started, of course before it did.

Should I retest?
When should I retest?

I have no idea. I should think that hardly anyone else on this forum has been in the same situation as you, as we're mostly aged under 21.
Go and see your GP, you're not going to get the answers you're looking for here.

Really, if you had sex then of course there's always a chance you could be pregnant, no matter how big or small. That's the only answer we can give you realistically.

If you go on www.nhsdirect.nhs.uk they have a service that you can use to chat online to a nurse or health advisor. They'd probably be able to give you better advice than anybody here could.
