Wireless advice for a non-techy person, please!
Hi all,
If anyone could advise me on the following, I'd be very grateful:
In my house, we have a PC that is connected to Sky Broadband internet (not wireless). I also have a laptop which, when at home, is not normally connected to the internet. Is it possible to switch to wireless broadband with Sky, and, if so, will both my laptop and the home PC be able to access the internet at the same time? Will I need to make any modifications to my laptop (it's an Acer TravelMate 2303), or should it automatically be able to pick up a wireless connection?
Thanks for the help

Re: Wireless advice for a non-techy person, please!
if the laptop has a wireless card, it will pick up the network.
select it, and it will ask for a password, or it should do, if it doesnt, anyone in range can use your internet
if you dont have a password, to get to the router interface go into a web browser, IE or Firefox etc, and type 192.168.0.1 (or possibly 192.168.1.1.) as the address.
easy as that
