I am doing biomed... so similar but not exactly the same. I did a lot of biochemistry last year and I found it ok, I was expecting it to be really hard but it is very logical. There is certainly a lot more to know than for your A-levels and a lot of my exams were multiple choice which tests you factual knowledge, so they really expected you to know the little details.

Just going into second. I am at KCL, I like the workload cause it keeps me busy but it is quite demanding.

I had loads of time, I pretty much worked in the week and had the weekends free, I don't see the point of working yourself into the ground as long as you know that you are achieving what you are capable of. You will be fine, if you are determined and prepared to work then you shouldn't find it harder than A-levels and you will have plenty of time to enjoy yourself.

I got a 1st

The lab work was good, we did some genetic engineering stuff, titrations (which wasn't all that exciting), some pharmacology with bits of guinea pig ileum, loads of microscope work (one 2h practical every couple of weeks) and some physiology (blood pressures, respiratory volumes etc).
