worried about my boyfriend - depression?
i'm really worried about my boyfriend. i'm concerned he may have depression, he never seems motivated to do anything and has told me that he can't picture himself being happy doing any kind of job/uni course at all. his mum has really bad depression and he's even said to me that he hopes he's not going to end up like that, because apparantly it can be genetic?
anyway, i'm not going to go into all the details and examples of things he does/says to make me think it, but if he does have depression, what can i do to help? it's killing me because i want to make him happy but it's so hard. he says he's happy when he's with me, but that doesn't really help.
his ex-girlfriend had depression and he said ages ago that he'd "helped her through it". what can i do to help him through this?
he's such a shy person that he definitely wouldn't go and see someone about his problems, and i'd feel bad for even suggesting it incase he was offended at me assuming he even had depression.
any tips or ideas of what i can do?
