[Mr Nonsense]

i am starting at a new sixth form this afternoon and wanted some tips on how to make the best impressions with the girls and boys and also with the teachers. What sort of things are a good idea? any other tips for sixth form?

Just be yourself. Honestly, sixth form isn't that big a deal to start with

DON'T tell people about your results the same way you have in your signature :p
Seriously though, people will hate you if you're overly happy coz they'll think you're strying to rub it in and again if you try to make it sound like nothing because they'll think you're being MORE big headed... I guess what I'm trying to say is just tell them what you got 'normally'. Not suggesting you're an arrogant person but people will always ask for your GCSE's and people get jealous easily

As for anything else, mad-cow18 is right, just be yourself, if you' try to be anything else they'll notice!
And don't be afraid to pull up a chair next to anyone when you walk in a class and just chat to people!

1) Don't fart
2) Don't stare at hot girls
3) Don't try to flex muscles with other guys/or arm wrestle
4) Don't raise your hand to answer all questions in class, just answer the odd question towards the end of class
5) Do you homework, but don't hand it in a week before its due
6) Don't ask if you can use green pens to underline

good advice. I didn't know what to do on results day either. How DO you answer the question of - "so what did you get"

Also, find a friendly looking group of people & start chatting with them, you don't have to wait for them to come over to you.

Don't be a dick

Be talkative, open, happy, generally sociable

Don't ask too many questions in class.

Don't struggle really hard to answer questions, don't pretend you're thick by not answering loads of stuff that was obvious too you(noone likes one of those people), but don't put yourself out there.

Its not that hard, be Sociable and they'llreturn the favour.

Just underplay it, say something like "I did quite good", thats what i did

Also, in the first week at least, your lessons will probably start with introducing yourselves, so you should be able to get to know people that way, then if you make friends in class, they might introduce you to their friends in their other classes, and the chain goes on...

Im starting this afternoon too!

Just make an effort to chat to people and don't harass the tutors.

For some reason people seem to make a real effort with what they wear on the first day but trust me, no one really gives a ****!

It annoys me when people do that because they aren't really giving you a straight answer and it almost seems like they are trying to drag out the process and rub in their 'moment of glory' a bit more.

I agree with the other person. If someone asks just say '11A*' and leave it at that.

Seriously, I don't even realise I'm putting my hand up in class all the time - I really need to stop that!
