    also... say you got accepted into university based on the grades you got... then you opted for a re-mark... and say you dropped a grade... what would happen then?

    I don't think your mark changes if it goes down because you keep the highest mark you were given.

    Your mark can potentially go up or down when you request a remark. So in a situation where you've been accepted to a uni, there would be no point in risking it.
