Default Gyms in Cambridge

Hey guys,

I was wondering could anyone reccommend a gym for me in Cambridge? I'm going to be at Clare Hall so preferably somewhere that I could walk to from there(if such a place exists)

I know Clare Hall has it's own gym but it is rather small and I'd rather join a bigger better equipped gym. So if you know any i'd appreciate it if you let me know.

Thanks.

Hallo. This subject has been done to death recently, so it would be worth doing a wee forum search.

Basically all College gyms are poor and are focussed on ergs and a few free weights for boaties to train with.

Like any biggish town there are a few posh gyms that are far outside the financial capacity of all but the richest students.

The realistic gym options are the university gym at Fenners, or Fenners, the university gym! Fenners is (if memory serves) £35 per year, requires a short induction session, has about 6 treadmills, 2 bikes, 1 recumbent bike, 2 steppers, 2 things like steppers, and a bunch of sweaty weight push/pull things. Has showers, changing rooms, drinks machines etc. It's a 20 minute walk or a 10 minute cycle from Clare Hall.
