Computer Science - 2nd year Entry !
Hi,
I'm currently holding an offer for a place studying Computer Science. I am thinking of doing the direct 2nd year entry instead of 1st year in order to save a great deal of money since I'm a international applicant.
Thus, anyone here has done the same thing and do you recommend it or not ?

I was thinking of doing that but upon speaking with the edinburgh people they said that they dont let computer scientist go into second year. they said that unless you were extremly proficient in programming, in particuilar java and haskell ( the ones that edinburgh use) you will not be able to get into second year as previous people who skiped 1st year have stuggled with the programming involved in 2nd year.
The best thing to do would be to speak with the uni and see what they say though
