Im 6', weighing about 70kg +/- 5kg, I never ever wear 28' they don't fit anywhere from apart the waist, normally 32. Anyhoo well getting the mass and then ripping is my definition of cutting, thats essentially what i meant.

    That is a rubbish method.

Eating THEN fasting is much better.

If you wake up and fast, your body stays i the 'starvation mode' that it's been in while you were asleep, and tries its best to hardly burn anything. You also suffer from lack of concentration, feel groggy and so on.

I used to get up and not eat very much, save up the hunger and have lots in the evening, but I've recently switched simply to having some cereal for breakfast when I get up, and I honestly do wind up having eaten less by the time I go to bed.

If you eat loads and then go to bed, the energy has nothing to do but be turned into fat - you're asleep, it's hardly gonna be useful to you.

Get up, eat (this kick starts your metabolism and gets your body in an energetic mood), go about your day, and eat a bit more only if you're hungry.

It makes a lot more sense the way I just said, trust me.

    how can you be +/- 5kg? 5kg ain't a small amount

and you should've defined it better dude, since "cutting" implies reduction of bodyfat whilst holding current or losing some muscle mass in the process

I'm 5'7" and 75kgish and i still regard myself "light"

in my books, you would be

even with small joints, low bodyfat, that's small

but then, I mean in comparison to musculared individuals

you may be a bit bigger than gen pop.

haluu... I'm fasting as well so maybe I can help coz I'm slowly getting results now (lost 1kg ! woo)

I basically wake up and have some cereal with skimmed milk and plenty of water. Then I got to bed, wake and fast for the day and breakfast with a fruit salad - grapes, plenty of watermelon, kiwi and banana and have some water and tea (although I've been recently told to change the latter to a green tea ).
For dinner I usually end up having this thin non-oily indian bread thing (one piece) and some gravy + a piece of chicken (for protein ).. and then have some fruit and maybe 1/2 a yoghurt on top.

ta-dah... all done.. dinner quite obviously varies.. I sometimes have a grilled piece of chicken breast with vegies, or maybe have a small portion of vegie noodles (but minues the fruit + yoghurt after)

So far so good.. no oily food (major resistance coz the rest of the fam. eat it!).. and attempting to lower the carbs. after break-fast coz otherwise the body will latch onto it!.. morning time I chose to have carbs. coz I wanted the energy during the day really.

Ok so because im fasting this month, im quite scared about the effects it will have on my body. So basically im going without food for 16 hours, at 4am I will have a bowl full of pasta and go to sleep in about 10 mins of consuming it. Then i will wake up in about 6 hours and go to work, break my fast with a baguette of some sort, have alot of water and then come back home and eat some more food (mostly some chicken and some fried crap) and then work out moderately...not too heavy etc, it will then be 4am once again, when the cycle will continue of eating carbs then sleeping.

I am trying to cut, my overall goal, how can i make the fasting into an advantage for my cutting goals? ...What can i do differently or do additionally to boost the shedding of fat, or at least prevent the loss of muscle?

    Cheers

your going to be one fat SOB
