You won't get a reading list til Freshers week, Bender and Co. will give out packs to everyone with info and barcodes, etc.

You also don't need a reading list yet, because you'll just buy it all when only about 3 books are essential.

For the first four weeks, even if you feel like splashing out on a biochem/molecular bio book don't because that's silly. Same for the I&D module...the lectures say to buy virology or immunology books but you won't ever look at them again. For these two modules, raid the library if necessary.

For C&B and FNM, you need your own copy of Pocock and Richards (Physiology), Dean and Pegington Vol. 2 (Anatomy) and Scambler (Sociology). Bender's book on nutrition is also useful but it's probably better to get it from the library.

Oh, and don't get a Histology textbook. You won't use it much, if at all, so the library will be sufficient if you ever feel the urge.

Should be in the Fresher's Pack. As far as I remember, all you get told is to be in the Cruciform at a certain time on the first day of term, and then they give you more information about enrollment etc. Registration is throughout the week...I think I registered on the Wednesday.

It should be sent in the post before you head off to UCL. There'll be a couple of sheets of paper with enrolment details, where you need to be to collect stuff, CRB check and the like.

This morning I got a blue sheet with enrolment details and a white sheet about registering at the local GP practice, nothing about CRB check yet.

Chill out people. There will be a confusion of forms during fresher's week, and you'll not know what's happening, but everything will eventually be done. Especially with Carol to chase you up over everything...
