likelihood of acceptance?

applying with AAB at As level.

Newcastle, Sheffield and York.

Obviously there's a lot of other stuff that comes into it but with those grades what would you say is the likelihood i'll be accepted at one if not all of them? (probably 3 courses at Newcastle, 1 at the other 2. Will all be English courses.)
Well you need to look at the entry requirements. If they are the same or similiar to your predicted grades and you maintain your AAB standard to A2 then their is no reason why you don't stand a chance. You also need an excellent personal statement and references- that is what essentially gets you the offer as the grades are only the starting block IMO.

I think you have a very good chance at both Sheffield and Newcastle. I got into Sheffield with AAB, and it is there standard offer so you should be okay there.
I'm not so sure about York though, its worth a try but most applicants are AAA students, and there are a very limited amount of places on English courses (I think its about 100).
